Northern Steps completed

Boathouse – boarded and secure

Main Block

Steel Frame erected, Clad in cement board, insulations waterproof membranes and battened ready for Millboard cladding to be fixed

Roof finished, Floors insulated- underfloor heating pipes laid and floors screeded

Windows starting to be installed

3rd May 2016

Steelwork for main block starting to be erected.  The huge crane makes light work of moving the steels.  Completed by the 5th May.  Community Store being built and roof finished

19th April 2016

Boathouse roof completed. Scaffolding coming down tomorrow and brick layers coming on Monday to block out the community store.

Footings for the Boathouse have been poured and the drainage is stating to be installed

8th April 2016

The Northern River Access Steps – Work is nearly completed on the steps. A tree was cleared and the soil in the area removed.  Gabion Baskets filled with stone have been used to frame the 13m wide area and the disability access ramp.  Sleepers have been used to face the steps and back-filled with concrete.  The wall has been reduced halfway.  The bottom step will be completed when the river level drops over the Summer.

The Boathouse

The concrete slab has been heavily reinforced to stop it floating away!.  The steel framework has been erected and the roof has started to be laid.  We hope to gain access of the boathouse by the end of May

The Accommodation block

Piling took about a week with some piles going down 15 m.  The piles have been all cut to length and the footings have been shuttered and reinforced with steel ready for concrete pouring next week
